It’s that time of year again. We promised ourselves back when the ball dropped that this would be the year we would get healthy, hit the gym more often, and fill our shopping baskets with fresh produce galore.
I don’t know about you, but whenever I set resolutions it never takes long before my resolve starts to waver (and the product starts to rot) while I slide back into my old snacking obsession. Salty, sweet, and everything in between – I’m a total snack-aholic.
I used to reach for munchies like cheese-puffs, cream-filled cookies, and peanut M&M’s, to name a few, but eventually, I popped one too many cans of Pringles and realized I couldn’t keep eating this way.
Once I found out about all the toxic fats, preservatives, and crazy chemicals that I couldn’t even pronounce that were lurking in my snack habit, I decided I wanted to make a change. Take a look at the ingredients of your favourite snacks, and I’m sure you’ll feel the same way.
Nowadays, I still Love (with a capital L) my snacks, but I much prefer to whip up a batch of my favourite protein balls to satisfy my cravings, without compromising my health or cheating my resolutions. Trust me, once you taste the sweet, salty, chocolatey goodness in these Sunbutter Cups, you’ll be hooked.
This is just one of the yummy winter recipes from my Fresh Start Detox program that I’m so excited to share with you very soon.
Here’s the recipe:
Sunbutter Cups
Makes about 10 protein balls
10 pitted dates
¼ cup sunflower seed butter
1 to 2 tablespoons raw cacao nibs
½ cup rolled oats
1 tablespoon hemp seeds
dash of sea salt
Add all the ingredients to a blender or food processor until well mixed. Form into balls and store in the refrigerator in an airtight container (for up to 5 days).
Enjoy the recipe!

Clutter from the holidays always stresses me out. I always feel better when I take the time to organize my living spaces by going room by room. It seems to lift a huge weight off my shoulders to clear out things that no longer serve me.
If you’re feeling the mid-winter blahs, stressed out and tired. You’re stuck inside anyway, so pick a room and create your own transformation. If you want some tips (like how to fold your clothes so you can see everything you have or how to position your hangers to know what you wear the most), I invite you to join my 14-Day Clutter Cleanse. Click here to join us and get more details!
The best part is, not only will you get support and ideas on how to transform your living space, the price is just $29! The next group starts January 28th – February 10th. As a special bonus, you can apply the $29 to the February Winter Detox.
I have a few rooms to tackle and would love to have you along for the journey. We’ll make space to breathe, and lighten our loads. Together we can ditch that stress mess!
