My name is Janice Marto, a board-certified Women’s Health & Wellness Coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. I am the proud owner of Nourish Whole Self; a company focused on simple yet effective ways for women to achieve total balance while creating their healthy life.

Here is how Fresh Start 14-Day Clean Eating Program works:

The program is divided up into three phases –

 

Pre-detox/Prep Phase (4 days) Feb 4th -7th)

Detox Phase (7 days) Feb 8th – 14th

Transition Phase (7 days) Feb 15th – 21st

 

Phase 1 – Pre-Detox/Prep
You will spend the first phase of the program cleaning up your eating habits and preparing your body and kitchen for what’s in store. You will start to eliminate a list of common allergenic foods, and introduce deliciously – nutrient-dense – whole foods into your body. During this phase, you can pick and choose your meals and snacks from over 50+ tasty recipes.

Phase 2 – Detox
You will spend the second phase of the program in full-blown detox mode, and you’re going to love it. For seven days, you will follow the daily protocol outlined in your At a Glance Guide and eat the breakfasts, lunches, and dinners that have been suggested for you. You will eliminate common allergenic foods and take advantage of several detox support tools that push out the toxins and support overall wellness. You will restore your gut, ditch your sugar cravings, strengthen your cells and take complete control of your body.

Phase 3 – Transition
You will spend the last phase of the program in transition mode. During this phase, you will reintroduce certain foods on a day-by-day basis using the suggested meals in your At a Glance Guide. You will devote time and energy to reflecting on how your body reacts to each food and uncover potentially hidden food allergies. What’s the difference between a detox and a cleanse?

In a detox, you are eliminating or reducing foods that may be wreaking havoc on your system. During a cleanse you are diving deeper into cleansing a specific organ. Detox is about accessing the foods that are truly going to make you feel more alive and recharged, done in a safe and effective way. During this 14-Day program, you will learn exactly how to nourish your body and reduce unwanted toxicity in a proven, three-pronged approach to the elimination diet. This 14-Day Detox is whole foods based, and as such, does not involve starving, fasting, juicing, only drinking soups or smoothies, or buying lots of supplements. This 14-Day program is about learning how to eat for your unique body.

Q: Will I be hungry all the time?

Not at all! There are over 60 recipes for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and there is room for snacks in between. Every meal is delicious and created by a fabulous chef to nourish your body from the inside out. This program is not about starvation or deprivation, and we are not counting calories or dwelling on carbs. You will feel satisfied with every bite. If you do get hungry, there are extra snack recipes included!

Q: Are there any dangers of removing sugar from the diet?

Sugar is not a nutritional requirement and in fact it robs the body of nutrients. There are no known dangers caused by not consuming sugar (hint: it’s how humans lived for thousands of years)

Q: Will I get bored eating sugar free foods?

No way! While there are some juices and smoothies for you to choose from, you will also be eating salads, soups, and even desserts that are delicious and nutritious and will eliminate toxins from your body in a safe and natural way.

Q: Do I have to take any additional supplements or pills?

Not in this program!! The only supplement I recommend that everyone take on a daily basis is a probiotic, and you’ll learn why in this program.

Q: Can I do this program if I’m pregnant or nursing?

If you are nursing, I suggest that you add at least 4-6 ounces of protein at lunch and dinner, boost your morning smoothie with a scoop of hemp or pea protein, and eat snacks between meals. Make sure you are consuming extra fat and drinking enough liquids. This program does not include any detox-provoking agents, but again, please consult with your doctor before starting this program if you have any health concerns.

Q: How will I feel during the program?

You are going to feel so healthy and energized it will amaze you! In the beginning, your body may go through a “healing phase” to re-balance and let go of toxicity. It is important to listen to your body through this program, and I will be here to support you with that. I will guide you step by step through exactly what can be done to reduce any unwanted symptoms that may appear. This program is completely flexible because we’re here to figure out what works for YOU!

Q: I already eat super clean, can I still benefit from this?

Many people who eat very clean already still have room to empty out the pipes with an elimination diet and take their healthy habits to the next level. Changing up the foods we eat gives our digestion time to rest and reset, which can be helpful for anyone regardless of their current eating habits.

Q: I have a medical condition, is it still safe for me to do this program?

While this program is based on eating only whole foods, it is still advised that you consult your physician before beginning this or any program.
